I’m here to help you take control of your health for good with healthy lifestyle upgrades that will last your lifetime.

Learning your why and living a healthy lifestyle sometimes starts with a challenge.

For the first few decades of my life, I struggled with my weight. After losing a significant amount of weight, and keeping it off for about 5 years, the weight started to “sneak” back on. 

I then went into a pattern of lose some weight, gain some weight, repeat – leaving me feeling frustrated and unfit. Willpower had worked before, but it wasn’t working anymore. I was in college, earning a Bachelor’s in Health Education, clearly passionate about health and wellness – and felt I should walk the talk.

Determined to stop my weight yo-yo, I started, step-by-step, tweaking the foods I ate and rethinking physical activity.

I had always loved spending time outdoors…

So I expanded and dug deeper into outdoor activities that I enjoyed so they integrated naturally into my real life and became an essential part of who I was (and still am).   

While my initial motivation was an external “I should” be healthier, I soon discovered that engaging in outdoor activities that I enjoyed shifted my motivation from “I should” to “I want” to keep feeling good – both physically and mentally.

Fast forward to today …

More than a few decades later, I’ve learned that elevating your habits and finding meaning in your choices is what makes results last – not willpower. When what you do makes you feel good, fueled by the right why, you’ll want to keep doing it.

Focusing on my inner motivation had immediate bonuses then and those have lasted to this day: Today, I have  energy to do the activities I love to do and my mind and body feel and work better with healthy lifetyle choices.

In my free time, you can find me spending time outdoors in northern Minnesota or the mountains of the western states.

I’ll be honest, not every day is a breeze..

Like most people, life happens and it’s easy to get off track. Maintaining healthy habits is not effortless; however, relying on my “Right Why” is what keeps and gets me back on track.

  • My coaching focuses on health conditions that can be improved and maybe even reversed, through healthy lifestyle changes. It resonates best for people who are ready to tackle health challenges such as high cholesterol, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and excess weight that may contribute to those or other health concerns.

    My coaching is not a solution for all health conditions or a replacement for your healthcare provider and their treatment plan for you. However, the good news is the key components of my approach focus on healthy lifestyle changes that can be used along with the guidance of your healthcare provider and prescribed medication, if any, to move you toward the health transformation you want.
